Malaria Swim

Post Malaria Swim Update Friday 16th Dec.

Here are a few pictures of our swim and some from other swimmers worldwide.

Thanks to all our sponsors, fellow Masters and 2 guest swimmers - who thankfully brought our average age down to 40 something!

19 of us managed a total of 52,200 metres within one hour and have raised around 1,000 UK pounds. That's a lot of mosquito bed nets to help save lives.

See the funds raised.

Many thanks once again for all your support and here's a thanks from the project organiser to you all.

Hi John-

Terrific effort. Well done!

Thanks for making it happen up there. Hope you all had fun.

That's 330 bednets which will mean 17 children now don't die over the 4 year lifetime of the nets your efforts will buy.

Very best wishes

Rob

Update from Rob Mather - Monday 19th Dec.

To keep you informed of how much money we have raised and the timescale for mosquito net distributions.

Thank you to everyone who has swum, raised money, sponsored, lap counted or otherwise helped so far!

By popular demand World Swim For Malaria runs until 3rd Jun 2006 by which time we hope to have reached a million!

Best wishes for the holiday season.

Rob Mather
